INTERNATIONAL BALLET OF HOUSTON is an elite Training Program for young dancers directed by Richard d'Alton, Jill d'Alton, and Kate Gandara. We are currently housed at Koenig Dance School in Spring, Texas. Please feel free to browse our site. IBH was established on September 5th 2006, and since then, our dancers have acheived an array of accomplishments. Among the schools they have been accepted to include: Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre, Royal Ballet School of Antwerp, Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, San Francisco Ballet School, Houston Ballet's Ben Stevenson Academy, American Ballet Theatre - Summer Intensives, and Miami City Ballet School.
They have been offered scholarships to: Royal Ballet School of Antwerp (Belgium), Kirov Academy (Washington), Bolshoi Ballet Academy (US), Boston Ballet School, Texas Ballet Theater School, Orlando Ballet School, Princeton Ballet School, Atlanta Ballet Centre for Dance Education, and Ballet Austin School.
IBH dancers have represented the United States of America in prestigious competitions including: 5th Ruldolf Nureyev IBC in Budapest, Hungary, 37th Prix de Lausanne in Switzerland, 6th Helsinki International Ballet Competition in Finland, and the 3rd Sibiu IBC in Romania. They have also been invited to participate in the 2008 Moscow International Ballet Competition in Russia and the 23rd Varna International Ballet Competition in Bulgaria.
IBH dancers have received professional offers to companies around the world including Ballet Sibiu (Romania), Ballet de Printemps (Canada), Ballet Florida, Ballet Austin II, Cincinnati Ballet, Louisville Ballet, BalletMet Columbus, Sarasota Ballet, and Ballet Idaho.
